Jonluca Enterprises Inc. is a leader in the organic and natural food distribution business. We service a wide variety of retailer partners and represent a diverse group of vendors. We are experiencing tremendous growth and we are looking for resourceful, experienced, and energized professionals to join our growing team.

We are hiring a Key Accounts Manager.  Reporting to the VP of Business Development, this is a permanent full-time position.

The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute to our rapidly growing, family-owned company. This role will focus on driving sales results, developing relationships with customers and working within a vigorous sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve business relationships with customers in order to support current and future business
  • Analyze sales data to understand retail space and product placement activity to ensure maximum sales opportunity
  • Identify areas for business development
  • Establish and implement short- and long-term goals and objectives for specific retail accounts
  • Implement strong promotional programs as provided at retail accounts
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations for creative promotional opportunities, utilizing our product mix and vendor assortment
  • Report competitive activity, retailer requests, and broker feedback to internal stakeholders
  • Run, review and analyze weekly, monthly and quarterly reports; report to Management Team monthly
  • Identify trends in the marketplace
  • Communicate and consistently monitor progress of the execution of the key account strategies amongst customers with Management Team
  • Depending on experience, possible accounts could include any of the following: Sobeys Metro/Farm Boy/Fortinos/Loblaws/Amazon/Walmart/Bulk Barn/Adonis/Nature’s Emporium/Well.ca

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience with established Key Account Management experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in wholesale distribution or the retail sector
  • Experience in the grocery and/or food and beverage sectors is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Proficiency in Windows Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated record of achievement throughout selling career
  • Ability to build network of relationships in the industry; act as a subject matter expert
  • Effectively collaborate with Sales Manager, Inside & Outside Sales Representatives, Marketing Co-Ordinator and VP Business Development
  • Solid understanding of P&L management, gross margin and pricing structures, impact of discounting / promotions and trade terms
  • Creative and passionate about sales and inspirational new concepts
  • Strong analytical, planning and promotional management skills
  • An “out of the box thinker” – able to think logically around issues & tasks and provide solutions
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer relationship management
